With Hat Creek in the foreground and Lassen Volcanic National Park in the background, this fishing hole is one of the best in the North State. Lassen Park in California provides a wealth of fun activities that are as varied as the seasons of the park. Due to the high elevation and influence of the Pacific Ocean, the park receives upwards of 40 feet of snow per year. The dominant feature of the park is Lassen Peak; the largest plug dome volcano in the world and the southern-most volcano in the Cascade Range. The park is located about 45 miles east of Redding.
